This content is outdated, I had to re-do the wiring partly for my Nokia phone, you can read about that here: http://www.krill3.com/2008/02/05/33
I’ll update this page shortly.
A couple of months ago I made a summer coat with wiring, now the chillier times are upon us I got myself a new jacket (snowboarding style), I decided to implement an improved version of the same wiring; better hidden and more tied down.
The wiring enables me to use my iPod Nano (2:nd gen) and my cellphone (Sony Ericsson z800i a 3~ year old 3G phone) with the same pair of headphones and selecting which source I’m listening to with a switch hidden in my cuff.
To take a call I just flip the switch and press a button on my collar.Make sure to read the descriptions under each picture, click a thumbnail to enlarge and get a description, left part of the image goes back one image, right side goes forward one image, left/right arrow keys can also be used to the same effect.

Unzipped the cuff to better show the switch and wires

The wiring is nearly identical and I still use the same kind of switch, headphones, iPod + case and cellphone.
Final words
I’m very pleased with the result, it’s near impossible to see any of the components, the wires are long enough to not hamper movement but short enough not to make coils (took some work getting the lenght right, remember too long is fine, too short means soldering)
I’ve washed the jacket twice in the washing machine since installing the wires and both the jacket and wires held up no problem, solid craftmansship if I do say so myself.
